Certified EFT Practitioner and Counsellor
Meet Michelle Sproule
“I absolutely love working as an EFT Practitioner, and am very passionate about the work I do, as I take great pleasure in helping other people…”
Hi, my name is Michelle Sproule and I am a certified EFT Practitioner and Counsellor and a member of EFT International. I have worked as a Counsellor for over 20 years in Australia, in a wide range of settings including generalist counselling, relationship counselling, family counselling, and genetic counselling. I have several professional qualifications and have completed lots of training in trauma.
When I discovered clinical EFT, I was so impressed and felt like it was the piece of the puzzle I had been missing all those years, as this technique is so much more effective than the standard talk therapy I had been using with my clients. Since then, I have completed more studies in clinical EFT and am always amazed at the results my clients are able to achieve, in a way that is more safe and gentle than many other techniques.
I absolutely love working as an EFT Practitioner, and am very passionate about the work I do, as I take great pleasure in helping other people and feel like this is my calling in life. I particularly enjoy working with clients who have experienced trauma or something very stressful, however, I also enjoy working with clients with a wide range of concerns including anxiety, depression, workplace stress, relationship issues, grief and loss, sexual assault, etc. In fact, I probably like working with clients for just about any reason!
What I love about clinical EFT is how quickly and easily the intensity of strong feelings can reduce, which enables you to think differently about your situation, see things from a different perspective, gain clarity, and be able to make decisions/problem solve more easily so you can work out ways to improve your situation, and start enjoying life again! Other subsequent benefits of clinical EFT include helping increase your resilience, confidence, self-esteem, acceptance of yourself and your situation, capacity to cope with adversity, and improve your relationships, depending on what your EFT goals are.
As an EFT Practitioner, my clients often tell me that what they like about working with me is that I am genuine, down to earth, non-judgmental, caring, empathic, and they feel like they can really trust me. I also have a good sense of humor and despite conversations in sessions sometimes being quite heavy we are often still able to have a laugh (only if it’s appropriate though!). My clients feedback from doing clinical EFT with me has also been incredibly positive, especially from clients who have experienced years of talk therapy without making much of an improvement in their mental health and wellbeing.
I have also used clinical EFT in my personal life and have been able to work through many difficult situations, that I otherwise could have been stuck in for years and I feel grateful that I discovered EFT to help me through those times.
Outside of work I love exercising, including bush walking, mountain bike riding, yoga, and riding my electric scooter which is a lot of fun! I also love spending quality time with my family and friends by going out for meals, coffee or exercising together, as well as taking photos of nature.
